The biometric characteristic of the Tufted Duck Aythya fuligula (Linnaeus, 1758) from Western Pomerania (Poland)

The purpose of this work was to perform morphometric characteristics the Tufted Duck Aythya fuligula obtained in Western Pomerania, according their sex and age. research material consisted 197 Ducks December 2013. biometric performed on basis 20 measurements linear mass quantities. All internal organs measured most individual body parts were slightly larger case males. Despite differences size males females, studied birds showed similar variability both length mass. between adult young not so well defined. Adult had significantly mass, pectoral muscle lung than juveniles. No significant found values examined features.
